He says he has always been a dreamer and calls making his jewelry a magical process.
Christopher Goodine, owner of Chris’ Shop designs in gold and silver in Washington, Va. is a New Hampshire Yankee who wandered through the county with his wife, Jean, in 1984. They loved it and Goodine rented his shop in 1985, making his the oldest business on Main Street. He said he would love to see the town full of artists *md craftspeople.
“The folks who come down from The Inn really help preselect my clientele nicely,” he said. It is wonderful to be on Main Street, he said, because The Inn sets such high standards.
Goodine’s customers come from all over the world, and one-half of his jewelry is custom-made. He is busy from September to December just filling custom orders for Christmas.
