opment sets a precedent for ! Rappahannock’s future. We | do not want to be friendly to development. We want to go screaming and kicking, dragging our feet. We want our beautiful, agricultural, environmentally sound county to be here for generations and generations to come. Development is stealthfully approaching, and Route 621 is an example of it.

We must tread carefully and thoughtfully into the future. The weight of any decision made concerning matters of development stretches far beyond the single issue.

Waiting to decide about Route 621 seems the only thing appropriate. Isn’t a decision of this importance worthy of causing a little delay in routine? This is an exceptional case that will be . setting a precedent. The board has been asked to reconsider and does not seem to be listening. What can we do in order to be heard?

Before further action is - taken on this issue, I implore the board of supervisors to at least set the precedent of letting the people of Rappahannock be heard; please put Route 621 back on the agenda for further study • and consideration.
