The Rappahannock County Planning Commission turned down two applications for special exception permits at its meeting last week. .3'
W.F. Bear and Karen L.Bear had applied for 4 - special exception permit to construct a second dwelling on their property located on Fodderstack j Road, one mile north of the Tbwn of Washington.
The commission had tabled the application in November requesting that Bear get slope calculations on the 50.41 acres. The county requires 50 acres of developable density in order to construct a second dwelling in that area. Bear asked for an exemption from the maximum density requirement.
It was determined that seven acres was in 25 percent or more slope and the commission recommended denial of the application based density ■ and slope calculations.
Emiel and Linda Smet applied for a special exception permit on behalf of Edibaldo and Blanca Silva-Lopez, who wished to purchase a lot, to adjust the boundiaiy lines between lot four and lot six of their land near Amissville on Route 730. The adjustment would create a 10 acre lot out of lot four and the residue would be merged with lot 3* six, creating a 25 acre lot,
