From left, Marie Davis, of the Department of Social Services, Knick, Wilson and Benshoof. The Virginia State Police and local officers from the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office have both worked with Social Services this month to give area families in need a better Christmas. Sheriff’s Office deputies were still making food baskets for families and buying toys for children in the county who are in need. The effort is part of the Shop With a Deputy program that took place last week. All children identified by DSS were not able to attend.
