This article is not what one would call a local issue. It is a world-wide issue. However, there are a few local residents who have been greatly affected by its impact on their lives. This is just a timely acknowledgment for all mankind. As a progressive researcher of the Holocaust, I am offering a simple reminder for those who believe (and for those who don’t) as well as a tribute to a local resident who is a Holocaust survivor.
The Holocaust, headed by Adolf Hitler and his Nazi regime, took place during the time period between 1933 and 1945, but still has a tremendous impact on our world today. Over fifty years have passed since the end of the Holocaust. Next month will tnark the 53rd anniversary of the liberation of many concentration camps.
