hopefully the Christmas break will give the team what they need.

They have won six and lost three matches and are looking toward the tournament on Jan. 2 at Madison County High School.

Junior Varsity

The Rappahannock County Junior Varsity Volleyball team played well and won the first game by 15/8 and the second by 15/12. Amanda Walter won a number of points with her serves and Ashley McNeely, along with Becca Metcalfe, did a good job of serve reception. Rebekah Letsen was outstanding at the net with blocking and spikes.

The team has a great attitude, said Coach Heidi Meyer. They work hard, but, she added, they are too quiet and need to talk more. Despite winning Friday night, she thought they were too slow on the court.

The team has a record of three wins and two losses. She said she has urged the team to be more aggressive during the time outs. They can pull it together when they need to, Meyer added.
