Forced to work on starvation diets, deportees were tattooed across the stomachs and forearms with slave numbers. Those who were selected for the gas chamber were led by deception into thinking that they were entering a large group shower facility for the purpose of cleansing and disinfecting. However, once inside the chambers they were immediately gassed to death with Zyklon-B gift gas.

The corpses were then disposed of in large steel and brick crematoriums or in large open-air burning pits. These barbaric camps also contained experimental stations where victims were handed over for cruel experiments such as castration, sterilization, artificial injections with cancer, typhus, tuberculosis, and malaria
