Gangel presented a list of unanticipated repairs from July 15 to Nov. 11 that totaled $23,708.15. Items related to the modular units repairs totaled $5,670.37. Included were $1750 for chemical service to the RCES cooling tower and $2,042.87 for the RCES cafeteria water/cooling tower service; $3,818.27 for cafeteria,; teacher’s lounge and RCES air conditioning and heater blower motor; and $1,354.34 for the school board office air conditioning and heater.
Tole said he is trying to identify community groups he can engage to help develop a vision for the schools. He mentioned the possibility of hiring a lobbyist in conjunction with several other counties and including students in a visit to the state legislature.
The RCES roof was repaired and the leaks are apparently corrected. The' RCHS roof hatchway is being completed and the RCHS ceiling insulation is completed.
