Gangel recommended a revised budget calendar that would shorten the time available to revise it, but allow several weeks for publication of a glossy, graphic document to present to the supervisors and public. The cost for this will hopefully be provided by Headwaters Educational Foundation, added Gangel. During the discussion Rosa Crocker, board member, expressed concern that the publication deadline would limit the board’s ability to look at each item carefully.
Concerns were voiced about putting the staff under pressure to type it in a short timeframe and work sessions were recommended for March 17 and March 19. The budget must be ready to present to the board of supervisors by April 1.
