secondary roads in the county again came under fire at the meeting.
Many residents spoke in favor of leaving some roads on the plan unpaved or taking them off the plan entirely. The controversy over Route 621 in Woodville was again mentioned by several residents.
Bob Moore of the Virginia Department of Transportation spoke to the supervisors after the public comment session to update them with regard to the plan. He told them there were several new items in the plan: extension of 800 feet to Route 616; work to move banks back to improve site distance for the intersection of Route 662 and U.S. 522; widening an improvements,,to Route 600 to eliminate a narrow area and improve site distance; work to reduce rough grade on Route 639; a widening and pave in place project for Route 648; and work on the bridge site of fatal accidents on route 729 and other improvements to that road.
The board adopted the Six Year Road plan .unanimously, with allocations as proposed, including the scheduled work to be finished on Route 621.
Proposal
At its evening meeting the board addressed the proposed amendments to the Erosion and Sediment Control Chapter of the county code by the Rappahannock Planning Commission.
The room was again full and many local residents spoke out about the proposal. The main concerns still center around the requirements for the roads for mountain top development and the lot size for lots in the Conservation Zoning District as
