Alma Vergie Gallihugh, 78, of Sperryville, died Thursday, Dec. 25 in Culpeper.

She was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Madison County. She was the daughter of the late Wilbert Seale and Lillie Ann Richards Seale and wife of the late Rufus Lewis Gallihugh. *

She is survived by nine daughters Mary C. Nicholson of Castleton, Joyce A. Cave of Shelby, Anna Marie Cave of Syria, Betty Ayers of Lexington, Ore., Rebecca Mize of Lexington, N.C.., Jean Nicholson, Brenda S.Gallihugh and Peggy Gallihugh, all of Sperryville and Phyllis Ray Jenkins of Washington; three sons Charles Lewis Gallihugh of Sperryville,/ Roger Lee
