The Rappahannock County High School girls varsity volleyball team participated in a tournament at Madison County High School over the \ Christmas break.
The lady Panthers first played Orange and beat them 15/3, 15/8.
“It was a really good game,” said Coach Laura Conklin. “They had their power hits and serves. I was really pleased with them.”
They advanced to play Wilson Monroe but lost 6/15, 15/8, 6/15. “I thought they did some good things in the middle game,” said Conklin, “but we didn’t play as well as we did against Orange and the scores reflect that. They did play well in the second game and we went to three games.”
The last match was against Buffalo Gap and the Panthers lost that game 8/15, 8/15. Conklin said they lost, more or less, due to being out of position and displaying poor form while serving and in reception.
