“We wont dowh hill and we made the other team look a whole lot better than they were,” she said. “Other than the first match we didn’t make a real good showing but I'm glad we went and it gave the team a chance to play over the break."
Conklin said the team had played poorly- before break against Page County but came back to beat Orange.
“I don’t know what it was (why we lost the other two games) -i- they weren't concentrating, weren't mentally prepared, thought the teams wouldn’t be as difficult as they were — I don’t know. We’ll keep practicing. They’re still learning, they learn every day. There is a lot of skill and ability on the team. It just needs to be developed.”
The varsity plays Strasburg at home on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. at the high school. They beat Strasburg the last time the teams met.
