Library Director David Shaffer presented a revised FY 2000-2001 for review and approval by the Library’s Board of TVustees. The proposed budget totals $115,674, which represents an increase of 6.2 percent over the current budget, and includes a county appropriation increase of 3 percent, to $60,827. The most significant increase in proposed expenditures is $2369 additional (to a total of $5136) for employer contributions for employee retirement and insurance—that increase is due to contributions for the new full time children’s librarian. The proposed budget was approved by the board, and will be presented to the county in March.
