Since there are seven teams in the Bull Run District this year, three teams will represent the district in Regional play. The Panthers would have to face the Clarke County Eagles, who lost in the first round to Madison, the Panthers were determined not to let last weeks loss to the Eagles take them out of their game plan. The Panthers took a commanding lead in the first 21-10.
Daniel Settle hit several three pointers, and Michael Settle and Ervin Phillips helped in the scoring to take the lead at the half 41-33.
Rapp continued to hit shots from the inside and the outside throughout the second half. Every player on the Panther team contributed in the rebounding area. Daniel Settle led all scorers with 22 points, Ervin had 15, and Michael added 11. Daniel and Ervin led the team in rebounds with 11 and ten respectively.
This was a great win for the Panthers, who are playing extremely good basketball now. With this win the team will now travel to Luray to play in the first round of the regionals. This will be the Panthers fifth straight appearance in the regional play.
