In 1989 he joined the Resolution Trust Corporation, where he was a Credit Specialist and Managing Agent until the agency was dissolved.
In 1996 he founded Castleton Capital Corporation in Warrenton. Recently, he had been employed as a Debt Restructuring Specialist by HUD’s Office of Multi-Family Housing Assistance Restructuring.
Mr. Kelly enjoyed fishing and canoeing on the Thornton River and maintaining his orchard on Solitude Farm, where he was a founding member of the Solitude Farm Hearts League.
Survivors include his wife, Alison P. Kelly, whom he married in 1977; his sons, Alexander Knapp Kelly, James Martin Pepper Kelly and Benjamin Tyler Kelly, all of Castleton; two brothers, Daniel K. Kelly and Andrew J. Kelly, both of New York, N.Y.; his sister, Ellen Cecelia Kelly of Brooklyn. N.Y. and his cat Harry.
