Hometown: Sperryville Occupation: Employed at CCA in Boston Accomplishments: Mrs. Aylor grew up in the Flint Hill area and started her career as the Flint HiH correspondent while she was still in high school, about 1956. In those days, her family didn’t have a phone so she would walk up the street from door to door gathering news from the village residents. Mrs. Aylor says she has always enjoyed talking to friends, neighbors and relatives each week to get the news. Years ago, almost every resident wanted to be included in the column. Sometimes today, residents are reluctant to give their social events for various reasons. Mrs. Aylor is a member of the Sperryville United Methodist Church, where she currently serves as Secretary. She was past Treasurer for over 30 years. * Mrs. Aylor works full time at CCA in Bostorrin the mail room. Previously, she worked for 13 years at Aileen in Flint Hill until they closed in 1995. She also enjoyed working as a receptionist for Dr. George Berberian in Sperryville for several years. She is married to Ranny Aylor, ' who is Assistant Manager at the Rappahannock Farmers’ Cooperative. On Feb. 27 they celebrated their 29th anniversary. The Aylgcs have one daughter, Heather, who is also employed in the mail room at CCA. Mrs. Aylor enjoys cross-stitching and is also a Tupperware representative.
