Opening reception
The Middle Street Gallery will hold an opening reception on Sunday, March 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. to present The Path Retraced: Oil Paintings by artist Susan Fleischmann. Ms. Fleischmann believes that each element of nature has a story to tell. The Path Retraced offers a visual means to map and traverse this elusive and personal landscape. The Path is in and through nature and its spirit: human forms, rhythmic calligraphy, trees and mountains yield up their literal nature and hint at underlying mysteries and meanings Ms. Fleischmann began painting while earning a Masters of Performing Arts in Dance at American University. Her awardwinning paintings have been exhibited throughout the midAtlantic region, including The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Emerson Gallery at McLean Project for the Arts, Arlington Arts Center, Ellipse Art Center, The Athenaeum, Maryland Federation of Art, Glenview Mansion and The Pen and Brush in New York City.
