DUTIES: Perform highway maintenance & construction activities. Operate light/medium duty hwy equip, to repair & maintain state roads & right of ways. Perform manual labor. Flag traffic, cut brush, clean ditches & perform snow removal. Perform preventative maintenance on equip. Req'd to work emergency situations. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of road construction/ maintenance rel. activities. Demonstrated exper. in operation/ service of light to heavy hwy equip. & tools (i.e. 3-5 ton dump trucks, loaders, rollers, tractor mowers, hand/ power tools, etc.) Exper. performing preventative maintenance & minor repairs to equipment/ tools & ability to perform physically demanding labor. Must be willing to work outside normal work hours in emerg. situations. Valid CDL & safety shoes req'd. DMV records check will be conducted. Employment contingent on successful completion of pre-employ physical w/ drug screen & verification satisfactory driving record. HS grad or an equiv. combination of educ./trng/exper which demonstrates ability to perform job.
