A private memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that contributions may be made to the Washington Baptist Church Building Fund.
Arnold Wyss

Arnold V. Wyss, Colonel, U.S. Army Retired, of Luray died on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
Born Aug. 6, 1907, in Pawnee County, Oklahoma Territory, on the homestead his father had claimed at the opening of the Cherokee Outlet on Sept. 16, 1893. Son of George Gottlieb and Anna Kellough Wyss.
Attended Mound Center rural school and Pawnee High School. Later attended Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University, and graduated in 1931.
In 1930, he married Jeanne Isabel Thobum whose father, Joseph B. Thoburn, was titled “Oklahoma’s Pioneer Archaeologist and Historian.”
Served in the Oklahoma National Guard 1927-1930, and was commissioned as 2nd Lt. in the Army Reserve in 1933. He was called to active duty at Ft. Sill, Okla. in September 1941; served 26 months in the ETO during World War II.
Integrated into the Regular Army in 1946, and served at Ft. Lee, Va., Wurzburg, Germany, the Pentagon, Philadelphia, Korea, Schenectady, N.Y., and finally Ft. Lee, Va., retiring there in 1962.
Graduate of the Logistics Officers Course at Maxwell AFB, Ala.; awarded the Bronze Star medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and numerous campaign and service medals.
Member of Powhatan Starke Lodge AF & AM, Petersburg, Va. and member r in perpetuity of National Sojourners, a military Masonic order.
