A committee from the Woodville and Mt. Lebanon Baptist Churches is working to re-publish the famous “Rare Rappahannock Recipes” cookbook, published by the ladies of the Woodville Missionary Society in 1928. The cookbook is to be revised and additions are to the made. The few copies of the book left in the county from the first publication are so dilapidated now from constant use that the owners are begging for new copies to replace their worn-out ones. Warren Quality Shop was advertising the Stetson Open Road hat for only $12.50. The ad claimed “it is a hat that will proclaim you distinctive individuality to the world.” Charles B. Wood of Flint Hill will be in Staunton Wednesday through Tuesday in attendance at the training meeting for , Census Crew Leaders who will supervise the field workers of enumerators in this area for the 17th Decennial Census to be taken in April. After a week of training, Mr. Wood will, in turn, train enumerators in Rappahannock County during the last week in March.

An open house at the brick building on Gay Street owned by the Rappahannock Historical Society will be held Sunday, March 9. Sketches and plans for restoration of the building will be on display. Suggestions and ideas will be heard. A committee under the chairmanship of Waldron O’Connor will be in charge of the restoration work.
