Route 610 work to
begin Nov. 13
Improvements to Route 610 (Chester Gap Road) in Rappahannock County are scheduled to get underway Nov. 1.3. ' Tavares Concrete Company Inc. of Lorton, the firm awarded the $375,372 contract by the Virginia Department of Transportation, has 120 calendar days (weather permitting) to improve drainage, grade and pave an approximately half-mile segment of the roadway, located On both sides of its intersection with Route 660 (Waterfall Road). Also included in the contract is the construction of a retaining wall near the intersection.
One lane will be closed during - daylight hours while construction Operations are in progress. Flaggers will direct motorist through the work zone.
