In December the Pack will have its Christmas party, with lots of fun and good things to eat, everyone will make Christmas ornaments for Mom and Dad s tree.
In January, the Pack will have its "Pinewood Derby" race. For that race, each boy makes his own car from a kit and decorates it to his liking. Although it may sound challenging, making the car is usually half of the fun. The cars are carved from a block of wood, with plastic tires affixed to it by metal axles, and are raced on a long, wooden track. On race day, the boys compete first within their own Dens, with the winners advancing to the Pack race. The winners at the Den level receive medals and the top finishers at the Pack level get trophies.
