Staff members came to school aressed as witches (Ms. Sherron Boddie), baseball players (Mrs. Raye TupperJ, tyrayons (Mrs. Patty Itottinger), pumpkins (Mrs. Brenda Payne), scarecrows (XHrs. Marie Atkins) and dSore. Primary children, dressed in costumes, paraded around the school. Older children enjoyed the festive atmosphere. Many parents assisted with parties and everyone seemed to have a great day.
• What is one of the best kept secrets in Rappahannock County? This writer believes that it just might be The Rapport! This wonderful RCHS student newspaper recently won first place honcfts in Virginia High School League competition for its 1999-2000 publications. Jami GTillis, a 2000 graduate, was iditor-in-chief. | The Rapport received its highest honor, a Superior Bating, for Layout and Design which was directed by Beth Yowell, also a 2000 graduate, and Jami Gillis. The newspaper editors were Sonya Anderson, Austin Bouffard and Beth Yowell. ynder the supervision of Adviser Ms. Suzanne Rossin, the Journalism Class made us all very jiroud. ; Other students who contributed to the success were: Summer Alexander, Amy Buckholtz, Jennifer Bywaters, Monique Paporuscio, Dan Landrum, Abe McClear, Krystal Murray, tTatiana Sicardi, Amanda Sims and Colin Treanor.
