Lions Club to sell boxes, feeders
The Rappahannock Lions Club will be selling bird feeders and Blue Bird boxes to the public, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Rappahannock Coop. Sale proceeds of the bird houses and feeders go directly back to our Rappahannock community. For information on the various feeders and bird houses, contact any member of the Lions Club or call Bruce Jones at 675-3152.
4-H Achievement to be held Nov. 10
The Rappahannock County 4-H Achievement Night program will be held on Friday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rappahannock County Elementary School cafeteria. Please bring a potluck dish for the dinner. Achievement Night recognizes members for their 4-H accomplishments during the past year. There will also be a candlelight induction ceremony for new 4-H Honor Club members and the 4-H Club officers' induction.
TFR’s fall clean up underway
Trash Free Rappahannock (TFR) in cooperation with VDOT is currently conducting its fall roadside clean up campaign which will end on Saturday, Nov. 11. Individuals and groups in the county interested in identifying roads in need of cleaning up, picking up roadside trash, working with the court ordered youth community service program, or contributing money to TFR's new planned activities, should call either Buck Payne at 987-8303 or John Kiser at 987-8445 for more details.
