What an awful thing fire can be! Our beautiful mountains are ablaze.
This past weekend the Amissville Baptist Church welcomed their interim pastor, the Rev. John Farrar. He will be the pastor until a replacement for Rev. Vernon DeLong can be found.
By the way, Vernon and Wanda are doing well at their new post. Rev. Farrar and his wife Julie have been married for 56 years and he was the pastor for the Culpeper Baptist Church for 26 years.
He was recently the interim pastor for the Warrenton Baptist Church. If you would like to meet Rev. Farrar, services are Wednesday nights at 7; Sunday mornings at 11 and evenings at 7.
The church office is open Tuesday; Wednesday and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until noon and the phone number is 937-6159.
