fThe Parcel Post Sale, held by the ladies of the Courthouse offices (referred to as the Courthouse Gang") was a success, according to the ladies. They cleared $40. The ladies have express thanks to the people who sent parcels for sale and to those who supported the sale with their attendance. The money is to go into a fund for the purchase of Venetian blinds for the offices in the Courthouse. Mayor Dorothy Davis and Mr. Davis were in New York recently where she was on the ^television show of Robert Q. Lewis, at 11 p.m. Sunday. It was a guest interview with ; Mayor Davis on her platform and what the women of Washington expect to do during •their term in office. Sunday night at 12 Mayor Davis broadcast with the Barry Gray program with Dick Brown as master of ceremonies. Monday at 4 p.m. Mrs. Davis was on the radio with Nancy Craig, this program was transcribed Tuesday at 4 p.m. over the siations from Charlottesville and -Lynchburg. ^Leggett's in Culpeper was advertising a 'History-Making Anniversary Sale with Ladies' • All-Wool Tweed suits for only $35; Men's All!\Vool Sleeveless Sweaters for only a dollar and Idress shirts for $1.98 each
