Cross Country
With the season over, all that remained for the Panther Cross-Country team was a visit to the New Market Battlefield to cheer on the two Panther harriers that had earned a berth in the Regional competition.
Junior Phillip Thomas and Sophomore Alyssa Berry represented RCHS in the tournament after qualifying last week in the District meet. Phillip came in 38 overall in the boys competition with a time of 19:23. Alyssa was 27 among the girls runners with a time of 23:37. The winning boys (17:12) and girls (20:25).
The team took advantage of the site location by combining attendance at the race with a visit to the Hall of Valor Museum at the Battlefield.

The open gym on Saturdays will be undergoing some changes as new activities begin to take place. The open gym for girls' basketball is now changing as it begins its first ever recreational league on Saturday, Nov. 11. The girls are forming into teams for league play. The teams are for girls in grades six through ten.
