Caity Waites was recently selected for the Central District of Virginia’s Olympic Development Program and will go the second weekend in December to try out for the Virginia State Team.
Tryouts for the Central District were held over two Fridays, Sept. 29 and Oct. 13, the selection process was completed on the second Friday.
There will be four training sessions with select coaching (members of the Richmond "Kickers" professional team and women from several NCAA Division 1 and 2 teams) over the next few weeks before the state selection is held. Only three goalkeepers were selected from all over Central Virginia.
