Two Wakefield Country Day School students have recently been named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional academic achievement on the college level Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations. Only about 13' percent of the more than 700,000 students who took the AP in May 2000 received such recognition.
WCDS class of 2000 graduate James Mumper was named AP Scholar with Distinction by earning an average of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and grades of three or higher on five or more of these exams. Mr. Mumper was well qualified with two grades of three and four grades of four on his exams. He is currently enrolled at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg and intends to major in journalism.
