The mission of the Child Care and Learning Center is "to provide a nationally accredited preschool, day care, and after school programs for local children, at a low cost to families as possible, striving to improve the quality of our children's lives through nurturing and enriching programs. CCLC mainstreams the economically disadvantaged and developmentally delayed children with families who can afford full tuition by soliciting donations for scholarship. A not-for-profit institution, CCLC serves a representative cross-section of all children from our community."
The Center also provides Rappahannock's Head Start program for 18 three and four year olds.
"We meet the needs of families without regards to economic status, and we do that by blending funding streams of private donations,, public and private grants, tuition, and fund raising events like the auction.
