• Oops! Bland Music Competition winners from RCES were not reported by this writer - a gross oversight. I do realize that talent does not only abound at the high school level!
We are very proud of the following RCES students who received awards in their categories: Tiffany Wayland, second in Instrumental; Brianna Moineau, first, Laura Wheatley, second , and Evan Espinola, third, in the Vocal Competition. Congratulations to them all.
• The RCES Fourth Grade is eagerly anticipating their upcoming trip to Monticello, home of President Thomas Jefferson, in Charlottesville. They will make this exciting trip on April 6. If you are a parent who has questions or needs more information, please call your child’s teacher at 987-8259.
• The RCES Staff has organized a Relay for Life Team to support the American Cancer Society. The Relay for Life event is held on the grounds of RCES each year. If you would like to support the RCES team, please contact RC-ES. Teacher Aides Pat Lawler or Linda Clark at 9878259. The Relay will be held t he week-end of May 18.
• Mr. Ron Vickers’ RCHS Technology students recently competed in the Technology Students Association (TSA) Northern Regional Technology Education Fair and several of our students walked away with honors.
Our own Laura Maloney won the Regional Championship (first place) in Prepared Presentation. Jeremy Graves took Third Place in the same event. In
