Frances Elizabeth (Betty) McKeever, 82, died on March 13 in Marshall Manor, Marshall, following a long illness with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born Frances Elizabeth Carroll in Washington, D.C. and attended Holy Cross Academy and Immaculata High School. Following her marriage, she spent several years living in Central America and on return to the United States, lived in Chevy Chase, Md.
She was an active Sodalist in Blessed Sacrament Parish, a golfer and member of Congressional Country Club.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, John E. McKeever of Washington ; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick C. and Robin McKeever of Potomac, Md.; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Robert Herrema of Washington; five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on May 19 at 11 a.m. at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament, Chevy Chase.
