you were “letting” me be a part of your life. I will never be able to express what that has meant to me.

Your mom and I talk about you a lot. We reassure each other that you knew where you were going, and you were ready to leave this old world. I know I don’t miss you as much as your family, but an impor- * tant part of my life has changed.

Someday, when I see you,, again, remember you and I have a date. If there are cars in Heaven, we’re gonna take a ride in a vintage Thunderbird. And Roy, I’m gonna let you drive!
