Buttercup Ball
slated for May 12
The Buttercup Ball is an upcoming event sponsored by Headwaters and the PTO of the Rappahannock County schools to thank the teachers for all that they do. It is being held on May 12 at the Old School House of the CCLC on Mt. Salem Avenue j from 8 to 11 p.m.
Therewill be live music by one of the^higtLsdhool teachers, Bobby Glasker and his BluesHawks band. There will also be heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cake walk, door prizes for teachers and ! much more. .4

annual carnival
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire i Department's annual carnival will be held June 6-9. The parade will be held Thursday, June 7 at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in participating should contact Greg Williams at 675-2530.
