On DARE/ Field Day, June 1, all children will be involved in a variety of physical activities, as well. It is important that all students wear sunscreen as they will be outside for three hours during the festivities.

• RCHS Parents are invited and encouraged to attend the next PAC Meeting on Wednesday, May 16, at noon in the Culinary Arts Room. This will be a Brown Bag Lunch Meeting, so bring something good to eat and prepare to join in the lively conversation. These meetings are basically PTO meetings by nature and chock full of useful information. Please make every effort to attend and bring a friend. If you work, spend your lunch hour with us. You won’t be sorry.

• Mrs. Lilo Wolfe’s Sixth Grade students are in the process of creating magical animals and plants as part of a special creative writing activity. The students must describe the characteristics and history of their animal and then “build” it using recycled items and papiermache . The finished projects will be on display later this spring. We will keep you informed as to dates and times.

• The School Council is in the final stages of editing goals for our system that will raise the expectations of all of us and create greater pride in our school system. Staff members have had multiple opportunities to offer input and we are almost ready to adopt the finished product. Parents have been selected at random to review these goals and offer input.
