J.A. Swan Jr. & Company in Culpeper was advertising an 11 cubic foot family-size Frigidaire refrigerator for only $219.95. IGA in Front Royal advertised whole fryers for 21 cents per pound and cut up fryers for 25 cents per pound.
The Woodville Home Demonstration Club had Mr. George H. Davis Jr. as guest speaker at their meeting on June 9. Mr. Davis spoke to the group on Wills and Deeds, the topic selected for June meetings. ;He explained the value of a will and the way it should be written.
