The Washington Fire Hall was filled with friends and relatives on Saturday, June 9 as Florene and Charlie Baldwin celebrated their 50 wedding anniversary. They received many gifts and everyone enjoyed the day. Congratulations.

The skies looked like rain, but the evening was perfect for a fireman’s parade on Thursday, June 7 at Sperryville. Everyone enjoyed the parade and carnival.

Sunday, June 10 is a great day to remember as the Rappahannock Softball Team returned to the Rappahannock High School with a great fanfare as the State Championship winners*! Girls, what a season! What a game! What a honor! We are all proud of you!

Remember to fly your flags on June 14 which is Flag Day.

Congratulations to all of you who will receive your diplomas on Saturday, June 16.

Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Dennis of Jackson, S.C. spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor, also Mr. and Mrs. F.D. Coffey and other relatives in the County. On Sunday the Aylors and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis visited the Maynard Nethers and Doug Kitts families in Stephens City.
