This is a poem, my daughter gave to her dad on Father’s Day many years ago.
Dad
I never really knew you, the way I wish I had.
There was so much do-and you were always Dad.
Mending mini bikes and building swings, and whistling all the while.
Doing so many things to make life more worth while. How many dreams you must have had,
That never did come true ‘cause you were busy being Dad—and that came first with you.
