PURSUANT TO SECTION 170-136 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.1-431 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at seventhirty (7:30) in the evening at the Rappahannock County Courthouse on Gay Street in Washington, Virginia. Consideration shall be given to all applications presented in accordance with submission requirements.

John C. Bennett, Trustee, owner of 4.5 acres on

Rt. 650 in Boston, Virginia (Tax Map 56, Parcel

73B, Stonewall District, zoned “C-Conservation)

desires side yard variances of 15' and 16’ for a

proposed dwelling. Contract purchasers are Jon

and Cheryl Howard. Variance allowed under

Section 170, Article 136 of the Rappahannock

County Code.

No applicant or other party in interest, and no attorney for an applicant or party in interest, shall initiate a contact with a member of the BZA for the purpose of conducting a private discussion, in person or by telephone, concerning the merits of any application, appeal, or other matter pending before the BZA. No member of the BZA shall participate in any such private discussion. Site visits or similar contacts initiated by BZA members shall not constitute such ex parte contacts.

A copy of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The above-named applicant, adjacent property owners, and any other parties desiring to be heard should be present at said meeting or should address their written comments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, c/o P.O.
