The heat is on, time to use the air conditioner. Baseball season for us is nearing an end. Our team did great for our first year. The parents were great helpers and we all had a lot of fun. We look forward to next season.
This past weekend my sister-in-law April was married at my mother-in-law’s home in Rixeyville to John Backe from Madison. Sixty friends and relatives were in attendance. April was beautiful and the day could not have been better. We had made a white trellis and the whole back yard was decorated with real flowers and ivy. They will reside in Reva. Congratulations to them both.
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department carnival will be held June 27-30. Tickets for the queen and her court are available from Sandi Carter; you can call 937-4218.
The ages are as follows: Little Miss 3-7, Junior Miss 812, Little Mister 3-7, and Queen 13-20. The parade is Thursday, June 28. If you would like to participate please call J.B. Carter at 9374218.
