Jobs for teenagers in Park

Shenandoah National Park is accepting applications from teenagers for its summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program.

This program provides employment and an educational experience for 15 to 18 year olds in the conservation of the park's natural and cultural heritage.

YCC enrollees maintain park trails, roads, buildings and campgrounds while learning about Shenandoah National Park.

This year's YCC program runs for eight weeks from June 16 - Aug. 8. Enrollees work 40 hours a week and earn minimum wage.

Applications may be obtained from local high school guidance offices or from the personnel office at the Shenandoah National Park.

Completed applications should be mailed to Kelly Hartsell. YCC Program Coordinator. Shenandoah National Park. 3655 US Highway 211 East. Luray. Va. 22835. They must'be received by April 25.
