Newbill retired from the active management of Ginger Hill Angus in 1999, because by his standards it was time to turn the operation over to his sons: Jay, Hodge, and Brooke.
Likewise, it is now time for the Virginia Angus Association to honor Newbill with not one, but two awards tonight. It is my pleasure to announce that the 2003 VA Angus handbook will be dedicated to Mr. Newbill Miller, and to announce that Newbill is being inducted into the Virginia Angus Hall of merit.
