momentum going back and forth between the two teams. RCHS finally won the fourth game with a score of 25-23 to capture the match.
Highlights of the game included aggressive net play by the Lady Panthers. RCHS finished with 25 kills and 16 blocks. Ryisha Cook had 11 kills, Anna Kreyling had ten, Mattie Nawrocki had three and Danielle Hiserman had one. Cook and Kreyling each also contributed eight blocks. As a team the varsity squad generated 23 aces and served 90 percent.
Following a busy week of volleyball, the RCHS County panthers will have a week off. Next up for the Panthers, RCHS will travel to Luray on Sept. 22 for a rematch and the last game before district competition begins.
The junior varsity team now stands at 4-1 and the varsity at 8-1 for the season.
