Sept. 6 Glenwood Races in Middleburg offered a fillies and mares flat race that overfilled with 14 entries.
Virginia’s Old Dominion Turf Championship, with five flat races worth $40,000 total, should be once again a strong division, if Glenwood Races entries are any indication: no fewer than 40 horses entered the open flat race at Glenwood, with 32 maidens entered and 28 “jumpers” entered in a conditioned flat race for horses who have started over fences.
