MEETING
EXPECTATIONS
In our culture, men are expected to be strong. It may be difficult for men who heard the words "big boys don't cry” since they were children to express themselves fully. On the outside, men who bottle up their feelings may appear to be adjusting well, although beneath this facade, they could be suffering alone, unable or unwilling to seek support.
Everyone who loses someone special grieves in his or her own way. There is also evidence to show that individuals who do not acknowledge the significance of their losses or seek support may prolong the grieving process and put themselves at risk for additional stress. With this in mind, men should learn to reach out when they are grieving.
Reaching out when you are grieving can be easier said than done. At the MOSER FUNERAL HOME, 233 Broadview Avenue. Warrenton. we understand that what most people need is the quiet space of a listening ear from someone who cares. Call us at 347-3431 ti> set up an appointment.
“Nothing is so strong os gentleness and nothing is si> gentle as real strength.”
