had wanted it to look like an aged copper roof and in order to achieve this affect as quickly as possible chemicals would have needed to be applied to the material. To lessen the costs involved in this process, Peter Kreyling, who is in charge of the construction project, said he suggested to his client that she use a metal roof which could later be painted the green color she was seeking.
This change in plans did not go unnoticed though and after seeing the new roof and columns which had been erected town residents complained to County Administrator John McCarthy. Many questioned if they were supposed to look as they did, and whether they were in keeping with the town’s architectural tone.
