Morris said the easy victory' was certainly pleasing, but it creates a small problem in his stable. Winner of this spring's Virginia Gold Cup, Lord Kenneth is back for the fall season, set up nicely for the timber stakes schedule with a facile flat tune-up at last week’s Glenwood Races. And with Company Eights return to form with the Thornton Hill score, Morris is faced with having to find separate races for the two powerful runners.
More plentiful on the spring calendar, there is a paucity of timber races on the National Steeplechase Association fall slate.
