ALLOWING
YOURSELF TO
GRIEVE
The best way to navigate the emotional' turmoil that accompanies the loss of a loved one is to allow yourself to grieve. Seek out relatives and friends who understand the depth of your loss and share your feelings with them. By giving expression to your sadness, anger, guilt, shock, and despair, you can better work through the feelings. In the meantime, do not neglect your physical health. Eat properly, and get enough sleep. Maintain contact with your physician, and be aware of the danger of developing a dependence on medication or alcohol as a means of dealing with your grief. Finally, be patient with yourself, and make an effort to live in the present rather than dwelling on the past.
No matter how it affects you individually, grief is a challenging process. At the MOSER FUNERAL HOME. 233 Broadview Avenue. Warrenton, we know how crazy grieving can make you feel—numb one moment, angry the next, and so sad that you can barely talk. We are skilled at supporting families who are grieving, and we are here when you call. Call us at 3473431 to set up an appointment. QUOTE: “We perish'd each alone: But I beneath a rougher sea. And whelm’d in deeper gulphs than he.”
