James Oliver Johnson, 68, of the 600 block of Gid Brown Hollow Road, was found dead in his car last Friday shortly after 3 p.m. near his home. A passing motorist saw the man seated behind the wheel in his car on the shoulder of the road and thought he was asleep, but could get no pulse.
Emergency services were summoned, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. He died of natural causes. Johnson lived not far from where his car had pulled off.
